Marc Jacobs and Porn Star?
From today’s PageSix:
Marc Jacobs kicked off Fashion Week with a documentary on the behind-the-scenes life of a designer - although many viewers would have likely been more interested in the secret tryst he’s been having with a porn star.
Jacobs has been quietly seeing adult film actor Erik Rhodes and whisking him away to secret locations, sources told Page Six. The new fling is likely the reason things have cooled again between Jacobs and former male escort Jason Preston, whom he’s dated on and off since 2005.
Sources said Jacobs’ affair with Rhodes - who describes himself as “Addictive. Wild. Open” on his ManNet.com profile - began last year when the designer invited Rhodes to join him and Preston for a three-way. Jacobs allegedly continued the fling with Rhodes one on one after that.
“Jason thought he and Marc were exclusive again,” said our insider. “But Marc is sleeping with this porn star behind his back, and sneaking him to Paris for hot sex.”
Rhodes seems an unlikely partner for the flamboyant fashionista, who counts Winona Ryder and Ashley Olsen as close friends. The guy-on-guy actor proudly wrote on his profile that he is “full-blown gay” and starred in adult movies such as “Flesh,” “Flex,” and “Beefcake.”
When we saw Preston Thursday night at the Cinema Society bash sponsored by W magazine for the documentary “Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton,” he was keeping his distance from the designer.
The two were on opposite ends of the room, and a fellow party guest noted the duo seemed to be avoiding each other.
Jacobs has done a couple of stints in rehab for drug abuse, and Preston made waves when he had Jacobs’ full name tattooed on his forearm. The boytoy told HX magazine last year they were “engaged.”
Despite the hot designer’s extracurricular activities, we hear Preston still plans to attend tomorrow’s Jacobs show with Aly Hilfiger as his date.
Asked about Rhodes, Jacobs told Page Six through a spokesperson, “He’s a really nice guy and we are just friends.”

Heavy Celebrity Presence at New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week kicks off today, and according the the Post, lots of celebrities have flown into town to attend the shows — mostly thanks to the ongoing writers’ strike:
Not many stars came to last year’s fashion shows, leaving the front row to D-listers. But this year, the A-list has flown in for seats in the Bryant Park tents and the chance to be swarmed by paparazzi.
“The Golden Globes were canceled, along with other awards shows - and possibly the Oscars - and the stars are going through red-carpet withdrawal,” one fashionista laughed. “They’ve got movies and TV shows to promote, and they need to get their faces into the magazines.”
Lisette Sand-Freeman, of Shadow P.R., put it more kindly: “With the strike, celebrities’ schedules are more open.” Kate Bosworth, Jessica Simpson, Beyoncé Knowles, Claire Danes, Rumer Willis and Courtney Love have all flown into town.
This season’s Fashion Week starts with the Red Dress show, which benefits research on heart disease (especially in women):
First Lady Laura Bush will be front row as Molly Sims (in Daniel Swarovski), Heidi Klum (in Marc Jacobs), Jenna Fisher (in Oscar de la Renta) and Emma Roberts (in Ralph Lauren) catwalk on the runway. Later today, Anne Hathaway and Emma Roberts are due at the Erin Fetherston show.
We’ll keep you posted as New York Fashion Week continues!

Marc Jacobs: Desginer of the Year at ACE Awards
The man whose own latest accessory is dyed blue hair, Marc Jacobs, took home the “Designer of the Year” award at the 11th Annual ACE Awards in New York on Nov. 5, one of many people honored by the Accessories Council this year for their achievements in the world of accessories.
Jacobs, whose shoes and handbags for both his signature collection and his younger Marc by Marc Jacobs brand are highly sought after items, also designs accessories for one of the most recognizable luxury brands in the world, Louis Vuitton, which he reinvents season after season. His latest collection, shown on the runways in Paris in October, featured a collaboration with artist Richard Prince.
Actress Mandy Moore was honored as “Fashion Innovator,” while supermodel and “Project Runway” producer Heidi Klum, who designed a jewelry line of her own that she will wear in upcoming episodes, received the “Fashion Influencer” award. Moore opted to wear a form-fitting black satin shirt dress, while Klum wore a black and gold brocade gown. Jessica Simpson, a presenter, wore a black and gold sheath.
Black dresses - perhaps better for highlighting one’s accessories - turned out to be the prevailing statement of the evening, as fellow honoree Tory Burch, whose new line garnered the “Accessory Brand Launch” award, wore an elegant black halter gown. Presenter Helena Christensen and Lucy Liu, who accepted Valentino’s lifetime achievement award on his behalf, also looked stunning in tiered dresses - Liu’s, from the Valentino couture collection, featured dramatic, full ruffles and Christensen’s was Grecian column-meets-flapper.
The other award winners included Macy’s, Inc. (Retailer of the Year), Harper’s Bazaar (Magazine of the Year), Scoop (Specialty Retailer of the Year), Bridget Foley (Marylou Luther Award for Fashion Journalism) and Nancy Gonzalez (Brand of the Year).
