Famed Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani retired from the fashion industry in January 2008.
There was, however, speculation after the recent Valentino ready-to-wear show at Paris Fashion Week that the famed designer himself had a hand in the new collection. According to today’s Page Six:
“Legendary fashion designer Valentino retired two years ago, or did he? Stylish sources say the well-tanned Italian – who was recently fined $44 mil lion for tax evasion – has quietly rejoined the game. Following the brand’s much-lauded show in Paris, fashionistas were whispering that it was the master himself who made it sing.”
