Kate Moss’ new Topshop collection was unveiled on Tuesday, October 28th and is proving to be her most successful collection to date.
The most sought-after item in Kate Moss’ Christmas Collection is the panther claw dress, which the model herself recently wore. Those lined up at Topshop’s flagship London store at Oxford Circus bought out the entire stock of panther dresses in 15 minutes of the store opening. The dress retails for £100 ($140).
The panther dress also sold-out quickly online: reports have it that there were no more left two hours after the 7am opening of the new collection in the online store.
Incidentally, the panther claw dress was not the one to sell out the fastest online; that honor goes to the triangle rock dress, selling for £65 ($92).
Kate Moss’ collaboration with Topshop has proved to be a huge success, both for the model and for the store. Sir Philip Green, the owner of Topshop’s parent company, Arcadia, has credited Kate Moss with the store’s record profits. He calls it the “Kate effect”: “We have been good for her and she has been good for us.”
